Eligibility for Category Membership:
An eligible foreign national may become a member of the category established in section 2 if they meet the following conditions:
- Accumulated at least six months of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, in one of the occupations specified in the table provided in these instructions.
- During this work experience, performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification.
- During this work experience, performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all essential duties.
However, it’s important to note that an eligible foreign national will not be considered a member of this category if their work experience does not fall within the three-year period preceding the date when their application for permanent residence is received.

Invitations will be extended to eligible foreign nationals who rank among the first 1,000 eligible foreign nationals in the group ranking.
